Presentations available from the GrandIR Technical session on RDM in Barcelona
Slides, videos and the summary and conclusions report from the GrandIR Technical session on RDM held last week are already available. The session, co-organised by and held at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Barcelona, joined over 30 professionals from various backgrounds to discuss the growing RDM activity in Spain
EIFL Workshop on Open Archives in Monastir, Tunisia
GrandIR has recently taken part in the EIFL Workshop on Open Access Repositories for the Maghreb Countries that was held May 14-15 in Monastir, Tunisia. Two presentations were dellivered at the event by GrandIR: "Mise en place d'archives ouvertes et accroitre la visibilité au niveau mondiale: Retour d’expériences" on lessons learnt from the OASCIR Project at the University of Khartoum, and "Le volet technique" on repository software and its implementation requirements.
GrandIR sponsors the 5th OS Repositorios Workshop
In line with its policy for sponsoring events related to Open Access -such as last Open Access Week in Oct 2011- GrandIR will be official sponsor for the 5th OS Repositorios Workshop to be held in Bilbao next May 23-25.
Submission on SWORDv2 accepted at Open Repositories 2012
The contribution "SWORDv2 for research data management" submitted by Richard Jones, Stuart Lewis and Pablo de Castro to the Open Repositories 2012 (OR12) conference to be held in Edinburgh on Jul 9-13 has been accepted as a pecha kucha. This work is the result of a survey about the use of SWORDv2 for data transfer purposes carried out on different RDM projects.
Final programme for the 5th OS Repositorios Workshop released
The final programme has been released for the 5th OS Repositorios Workshop, to be held at the UPV/EHU School of Engineering in Bilbao on May 23-25, 2012. GrandIR will contribute two presentations to this event: a first one on pilot RDM initiatives at the Lab for Heritage Geometrical Documentation (LDGP) in Vitoria, and a pecha kucha presentation on the joint development of the ADDI IR by the UPV/EHU Library and GrandIR.
GrandIR Workshop on RDM in Barcelona
A new GrandIR workshop on RDM initiatives in Spain will be held next May 10th in Barcelona. This 4th GrandIR session aims to discuss the difficulties and the recent advances in setting up institutional initiatives for primary research data management and publication in Spain.
