Jisc-ARMA ORCID pilot progress workshop in London

Following the kick-off meeting held last May 8th, a second Jisc-ARMA ORCID pilot project workshop will be held in London next Sep 17th. The workshop will provide an opportunity for the eight pilot ORCID implementation projects being carried out at the universities of Aston, Kent, Northumbria, Oxford, Southampton, Swansea and York plus Imperial College London to report on their progress both at technical and social levels.

RepoFringe 2014 in Edinburgh

A new edition of the Repository Fringe unconference will be held in Edinburgh on Jul 30-31. The event programme will address the current state of Open Access in the UK, dealing with topics such as the Jisc-funded OA Good Practice Pathfinder Projects, the plans for the RIOXX metadata application profile and the progress of research data management initiatives, as well as an update on projects such as the Jisc Monitor and the Publications Router.

PASTEUR4OA Project mentioned at CIARD Webinar on Development of Open Access Policies

A webinar on the development of Open Access policies was held on July 15th by the CIARD Initiative (Coherence in Information for Agricultural Research for Development). The presentation was delivered by Paola Bongiovani, Universidad Nacional del Rosario in Argentina, who mentioned the work around Open Access policies the PASTEUR4OA Project is doing in Europe as a potential source of inspiration for other regions.
