"The Current State of Open Access Repository Interoperability (2012)"
The Confederation of Open Access Repositories (COAR) has just released its report on "The Current State of Open Access Repository Interoperability". The report provides an overview of the current interoperability landscape in its first section, describing available services in eight areas: metadata harvesting, usage statistics, cross-system content transfer, unique identifiers, enhancing visibility, support services for repository networks, repository embedding and management of complex digital objects. Section 2 offers further details on specific initiatives designed to support these areas of work.
'Building Institutional RDM Services' JISC/DCC Workshop in Nottingham
A JISC RDM Programme Progress Workshop was jointly held by JISC and DCC in Nottingham on Oct 24-25. The workshop programme featured thematic sessions on eight key components in an institutional RDM service and infrastructure, from Institutional Data Policies to Business case and Data catalogues. JISC MRD projectsl delivered updates on their work along these thematic lines.
