ODIN Project Kick-off Meeting

On Oct 18th the ORCID and DataCite Interoperability Network (ODIN) European Project will hold its kick-off meeting at the Kalkscheune in Berlin. The 12-month ODIN Project aims to build on the success of DataCite and ORCID by designing an 'awareness layer' for persistent author and object identifiers, thereby reducing technical, cultural and logistical barriers to the accessibility, attribution and trust of data.

ORCID about to launch its service

The ORCID service was officially launched on Oct 15th during the ORCID meeting to be held next week at the Humboldt-Universit├Ąt in Berlin. On Oct 17th an ORCID Outreach Working Group meeting is held at HU where all issues related to this Author ID and its implementation will be discussed

Autumn 2012 euroCRIS membership meeting programme announced

Jointly organised by GrandIR, FECYT and euroCRIS, the next euroCRIS membership meeting will be shortly held (Nov 5-6) at the Residencia de Estudiantes in Madrid. Once all the contributions were received by euroCRIS Board members and TG leaders, the final event programme was announced this week. Registrations keep steadily increasing too - please make sure you register for the event if you're planning to attend, either as a speaker or a member of the audience!
