The process of developing a repository has a whole set of associated maintenance and software upgrade operations that will generally be assumed by the technical branch of the workteam in charge of the repository management. GrandIR is aware that computer services are often too busy working on simultaneous projects as to deal with minor maintenance tasks, and it’s therefore offering a customized software & content maintenance service. This service includes tasks such as version upgrade or implementation of new software on the software side and –on the content side– update of standards for content description or maintenance of the repository hierarchical structure to match the hosting institution’s ever changing structure.
